Is pleasure Happiness?

Today I was engaged in a discussion on whether pleasure and happiness we the same thing or if they were two different things. Personally I think that pleasure is connected to happiness, and can trigger the emotion of being happy, but only for a moment. My interpretation of happiness is an everlasting feeling of being joyous. While pleasure is something that you like and desire for a moment. For example   drinking a class of cold water on a super hot summer day. That action is more like a pleasure rather than a happiness, but yet it's still connected because you become happy at the moment. Yes, these two words are used to describe practically the same thing but in my opinion they are different in time length. Like I mentioned above, pleasure is something that is momentarily and happiness is everlasting. Many people may disagree with me and say im totally wrong, while others may company me and my opinion. But in deep thought, is pleasure and happiness the same thing? or are they total polar opposites?
